IBM iSeries Java Swing GUI programming

IBM iSeries RPG applications gather user input from a green screen then update, insert or delete DB2/400 database records. Java Swing GUI applications gather user input from a graphical, easy to understand interface, then update, insert or delete DB2/400 database records. Both can run at the same time.

Java JDBC and the IBM AS/400 Toolkit for Java make connections to iSeries data possible from anywhere on the network or internet. The Toolkit includes a secure signon and JDBC can use TLS 1.0 (same as SSL 3.0) communications encryption. A JDBC connection is internal to the application that created it so other applications can not access it.

Screen shots of all RPG application green screens and 'DSPFFD' for each database table is sometimes enough information to create a Java Swing GUI for your iSeries application. Give me a call and I can send a demo for a screen or two.
